print Tender Module
The Tender Module is used to facilitate the process of fuel tendering. It provides a fully audited, transparent process to create and publish a tender as well as capture, evaluate, and award bids from counterparties which will are in the position to supply the required fuel volume or the related services at certain locations.
Tender areas supported:
Create Tender
- Capture tender details and tender locations: The user can create a new tender by capturing the tender details including all locations for which the tender shall apply. For each location, the user can define the fuel requirement and expected number of flight events. For the estimation of the fuel requirement, the user can retrieve forecasted future fuel quantities from planning and actual historical fuel quantities from operations.
- Publish tender: After publishing a tender, the user can generate the tender invitation report for inviting suppliers to participate in a tender. The tender is published and sent to the selected counterparties.
Manage Bids
- Capture bid: The user can capture bids including price components received from suppliers participating in the tender.
- Normalize bid: The system calculates normalized product price and differential per bid using the tender’s reference data.
- Evaluate bid: The system calculates a bid ranking based on the normalized product price and differential.
- Start new negotiation round: The user can set up a new negation round for which the system copies all bids from the previous round.
- Shortlist supplier: The user can exclude bids from a negotiation round.
- Compare bid against location contracts: The user can retrieve the location contracts and compare the bid’s normalized prices against the contract’s normalized prices.
- Award bid and create contract based on awarded bid: Based on an evaluated bid, the user awards a certain percentage of the location’s fuel requirement to a supplier. Upon awarding the system generates a related contract in the contract management module using the bid data.
Tender Without Bid
- Close tender without bid award: The user can close a tender without awarding a bid. No contract has been placed; the tender should be closed in an orderly manner.
- Delete tender without bid: The user can delete a tender and all of its tender locations for which no bids have been received.
Report On Tender
- Create tender report: The user can initiate the generation of a tender report which contains the tender history including tender parameter, all bids received, and awarded suppliers.
