printpdf Inventory Management Module

The FuelPlus Inventory Management Module assists in the management and monitoring of fuel inventories. The module allows for setting up storage systems, managing incoming and outgoing deliveries, valuating fuel inventories, and providing inventory-related reports. In addition, the Inventory Management Module activates additional contract types required for inventory management.

Inventory Management areas supported:

Inventory Management

  • Manage storage systems: The user can display, create, modify, or delete storage systems. The user can also display, create, modify, or delete facilities for fuel tanks, and assign facilities of other storage systems to pipelines.
  • Load movement events: The system loads a data file containing movement events such as pipeline or storage receipts.
  • Capture and maintain movement events: The user can display, create, modify, or delete movement events for fuel deliveries into a storage system.
  • Calculate costs for movement events: The system (re-)calculates the costs for a movement event based on effective contracts.
  • Calculate storage prices: The system calculates the storage’s outgoing fuel price based on end-of-month volumes, incoming, and outgoing movement events using the averaging or FIFO valuation method.
  • Generate periodical events: The system generates periodical events for all effective period-based Storage contracts or General Service contracts.
  • Calculate costs for periodical events: The system (re-)calculates the costs for a periodical event based on effective contracts.
  • Maintain periodical events: The user can display, create, modify, or delete individual periodical events.
  • Capture and maintain end-of-month volumes: The user can display, create, modify, or delete the End of Month stock volume for a given fuel tank.
  • Capture and maintain inventory adjustments: The user can display, create, modify, or delete inventory adjustments for a given fuel tank.

Inventory Management (available with Supply Chain Management module)

  • Report overall positions: The user can generate a report which contains the overall inventory of a given fuel owner and a given storage system on a given date.
  • Capture and maintain inventory density: The user can display, create, modify, or delete the daily inventory density for a given fuel owner and storage system.
  • Capture and maintain future volume movement: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a volume movement expected in the future. This future volume movement is used for the daily inventory forecast.
  • Report daily inventory forecast: The user can generate a report which contains the expected inventory development for the next n days calculated using the supply pattern of the last m days and expected future volume movements.

Reporting

  • Report movement event and associated costs: The user can generate a report which contains individual movement events and their details as for example the associated costs.
  • Report periodical event and associated costs: The user can generate a report which contains individual periodical events and their details as for example the associated costs.
  • Report inventory and costs: The user can generate a report which contains the incoming, the outgoing, and the adjusted volumes as well as the values of these volumes for a given fuel tank or pipeline for a given time period.
  • Report airport overview: The user can generate a report which contains the monthly location volumes and prices for a given area or location.
  • Report movements without costs: The user can generate a report which contains all volume movements that are not linked to any contracts.
  • Report daily inventory: The user can generate a report which contains the incoming, the outgoing, and the adjusted volumes as well as the values of these volumes for a given fuel tank or pipeline on a given date.

Reporting (available with Supply Chain Management module)

  • Report inventory density: The user can generate a report which contains the daily inventory density for a given fuel owner.
  • Report overall inventory positions: The user can generate a report which contains the overall inventory of a given fuel owner and a given storage system on a given date.
