The Contract Management Module takes care of the administration of fuel-related product and service contracts. In addition, the Contract Management Module provides functions to define time series for energy quotations and exchange rates, processes automated data feeds for time series, calculates averages for time series, and updates product prices in contracts linked to a time series.


Contract Management areas supported:

Contract Base Data Management

  • Manage main categories: The user can define main categories which are used as a basis for price category definitions.
  • Manage price categories: The user can display, create, modify, or delete price categories which are used as price items in contracts.
  • Manage responsible buyers: The user can assign or de-assign a location to a user who shall act as the responsible buyer for that location.
  • Manage financial sources: The user can display, create, modify, or delete financial sources which issue quotations for exchange rates or energy prices.
  • Manage time series: The user can display, create, modify, or delete time series for energy quotations and exchange rates.
  • Manage commodities: The user can display, create, modify, or delete commodities.
  • Manage interest rates: The user can display, create, modify, or delete interest rates that are used for volume order plans.
  • Manage currencies: The user can display, create, modify, or delete currencies.

Contract Base Data Management (available with Supply Chain Management module)

  • Manage futures accounts: The user can display, create, modify, or delete futures accounts.

Market Data Management

  • Load internal exchange rate values: The system loads a data file containing new or updated internal monthly exchange rate values and (re-)calculates the contract fuel prices according to the new values.
  • Load external exchange rate values: The system loads a data file containing new or updated exchange rate values and (re-)calculates the contract fuel prices according to the new values.
  • Load energy quotation values: The system loads a data file containing new or updated energy quotation values.
  • Calculate energy quotation averages: The system calculates energy quotation averages based on energy quotation values and the average definitions set up for the time series.
  • Update fuel prices of index-based contracts: The system updates fuel price components of index-based contracts based on calculated energy quotation averages.

Contract Management

  • Manage product contract “Into plane”: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a product into plane contract which covers both the purchase of fuel and the fueling service.
  • Manage product contract “Ex-hydrant”: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a product ex-hydrant contract which covers the purchase of fuel only.
  • Manage fueling service contract: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a fueling service contract which covers the provision of fueling services only.
  • Change responsible buyer: The user can change the responsible buyer for a set of locations.
  • Manage price by price category: The user can display and modify the price of a given price category in more than one contract at the same time.
  • Calculate average price per station and customer: The system (re-)calculates the average fuel price for a given customer at a given location.

Contract Management (available with Inventory Management module)

  • Manage product contract "Into storage”: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a Product into storage contract which covers the purchase of fuel into an airline's storage system at the airport.
  • Manage storage contract: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a period-based or volume-based Storage contract.
  • Manage general service contract: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a period-based or volume-based General Service contract.
  • Update customer volumes for AS contract: The user can update customer volumes for internal Airline Storage (AS) contracts by starting a job which updates the customer volumes for these contracts.

  • Manage inspection contract: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a volume-based Inspection contract.
  • Manage transportation contract: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a Transport contract.
  • Manage CSO contract: The user can display, create, modify, or delete a Compulsory Stock Obligation (CSO) contract.
  • Manage broker agreement: The user can display, create, modify, or delete broker agreements.
  • Manage futures trades: The user can display, create, modify, or delete trades of futures.

Reporting

  • Report exchange rates: The user can display the values of a certain exchange rate issued by a financial source.
  • Report energy quotation averages: The user can display the average values of energy quotations calculated by the system.
  • Report energy quotation values: The user can display the raw energy quotation values.
  • Report price notification: The user can generate a report which contains all contract prices of a pre-selected list of contracts.
  • Report contract term sheet: The user can generate a report which contains the contract details of a pre-selected contract.
  • Report volume distribution by customer: The user can generate a report which contains monthly volumes and the percentage shares for each customer of a given contract.
  • Report volume distribution by month: The user can generate a report which contains the monthly volumes and the percentage shares by customer per month for a given contract.
  • Report product price history: The user can generate a report which contains the product price history.
  • Special report Fuel prices: The user can generate a report which contains the contracted prices of a specific date for a given area or location.
  • Special report Supplier ranking: The user can generate a report which contains the uplift fuel quantities and the related costs for a given period and location or area, sorted descending by fuel quantity.
  • Special report Predefined average prices: The user can generate a report which contains the energy quotation prices valid during a given period.
  • Special report Predefined Platt's (daily): The user can generate a report which contains the monthly average values of all energy quotations flagged for daily reporting.
  • Special report Market data: The user can generate a report which contains the values of given time series.
  • Special report Expiring contracts: The user can generate a report which contains all contracts for a given location or area that expire or can be cancelled at a specified station or area within a given period.
  • Special report Price notification: The user can generate a report which contains the contract prices of contracts valid on a given date by contract holder and counterparty.
  • Special report Price report: The user can generate a report which contains general data regarding contracts (for example validity periods, prices etc.) that are valid at a given date for a given customer.
  • Special report Fuel supplies: The user can generate a report which contains a list of fuel supplies and the involved contracts that apply for a given location at a given date.
  • Report price overview per contract: The user can generate a report which contains contract details including customer volume shares, total prices, and price details.
  • Report expiring contracts: The user can generate a report containing a list of contracts that will expire during a given period.
  • Report price changes: The user can generate a report containing a change log of price modifications made since the last report generation date, sorted by responsible buyer.
  • Report prices by price category: The user can display the prices of specific price categories.

Reporting (available with Supply Chain Management module)

  • Report futures positions: The user can generate a report which contains a summary on the futures trades cumulated by month and commodity.
  • Report EFP balance: The user can generate a report which contains the EFP balance of futures contracts that are exchanged for physical commodities.
