Automating tasks with FuelPlus

Businesses normally follow the automation route due to the following reasons:

  • Enhanced efficiency,
  • Cost saving opportunities,
  • Better data accuracy.

With FuelPlus, this can easily be achieved when implementing the new FuelPlus Flexible Interface (FLX) which will hugely improve the data interchange between information systems and assist the business in automating mundane and tedious functions in relation to flight event data, fuel event data, and emission related data. The use of this one interface standard which covers the areas of flight events, operational efficiency, fuel events, and payload data for EU ETS, further reduces overall IT maintenance due to the reduction in the number of different interfaces which need to be maintained. Being based on the XML language standard, the skills for the maintenance and developmentĀ are normally available in the airline IT department.

In the accounting department, the burden and effort is further reduced when the IATA XML invoice interface is implemented. This interface allows for a seamless exchange of data between the supplier and the airline for the receipt of invoices and credit notes. After the implementation, the airline could expect to see the number of data capturing errors being reduced, as well as an improvement in the process time of the electronic invoices.
