Kenya Airways and Etihad Airways select the FuelPlus Emissions Module
With Kenya Airways and Etihad Airways, two of the major airlines in Africa and Asia implemented the FuelPlus Emissions Module. Kenya Airways, operating since 1977, provides both national and international flights with a fleet of 26 aircrafts and 2.76 million passengers per year. Abu-Dhabi-based Etihad Airways is the National Airline of the United Arab Emirates and offers flights to 50 international destinations. With a passenger volume of more than 6,000,000 in 2008 and an annual growth of 40% , Etihad Airways is among the ten fastest growing airlines in the world.
The FuelPlus Emissions Module was selected by Etihad and Kenya Airways to provide their respective emissions monitoring and reporting data after an extensive market analysis and evaluation process. The FuelPlus Emissions Module was independently audited by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) and found to be compliant to the EU Emissions Directive. Both Kenya Airways and Etihad Airways selected the FuelPlus EFM Emissions Module because they preferred to perform the emissions monitoring within FuelPlus as most of the data already exist within the currently installed FuelPlus application.
