Lufthansa selects FuelPlus EFM Emissions for EU ETS compliant Monitoring and Reporting
FuelPlus Software GmbH (FPS) announced today that Deutsche Lufthansa AG and its subsidiaries have selected FuelPlus EFM Emissions for the implementation of EU ETS compliant tonne-kilometre and emission monitoring and reporting.
Lufthansa made the decision after the successful verification that FuelPlus EFM Emissions meets the EU ETS requirements. Using the FuelPlus product and the extended set of product and process documentation, Lufthansa was able to prepare their monitoring plans in less than 3 months.
Torsten Heiling, Manager IT Systems and Product Manager Fuel Management Solutions (Lufthansa), states: "The maturity of FuelPlus EFM Emissions and the complete set of product and process documentation supported us significantly in preparing and completing the monitoring plans, and we are absolutely positive that the tool will be supportive in the annual reporting process as well. Also, the FuelPlus team was very competent and responsive in implementing additional functions which were necessary to comply with the EU ETS regulations."
In addition to Lufthansa, Polar Air Cargo, Etihad, and Kenya Airways confirmed their commitment to use the FuelPlus Emissions Module for their EU ETS monitoring and reporting requirements.
