Upcoming FuelPlus User Group Meeting 2009
This year’s user group meeting will take place in Hanover, Germany, on September 22 and 23.
Due to the tremendous impact that the EU Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) has on airlines, the main focus of the first day is on the new FuelPlus Emissions module. The newly developed module handles the requirements of EU ETS in the areas of reporting and monitoring for both tonne-kilometre and annual emissions. Besides a presentation of the concept and the functionality of this module, the participants will have the chance to work with the new module Emissions in hands-on sessions and to ask questions.
The first functional version of the long-awaited FuelPlus release 5.0 will be demonstrated during the user conference as well. As already shown in two webinars, the new release 5.0 comes with completely redesigned user dialogs improving the user experience significantly. Based on industry-standard Java frameworks, the FuelPlus 5.0 system provides new integration options with installed airline IT systems and allows for seamless data exchange.
Prepayment has become more common in the recent years. In response to this new business reality, FuelPlus has implemented a new Prepayment module which supports the prepayment calculation by using future flight schedules as well as the balancing of prepaid amounts vs. invoiced costs. The new Prepayment module also will be demonstrated during the user meeting.
It has become obvious to FuelPlus in previous years that participants very much appreciate the opportunity of discussing ideas and suggestions about how FuelPlus EFM could be improved to meet the new trends and needs of fuel management. To respond to this interest, the whole afternoon of the second day is dedicated to discussions and brainstorming regarding further product enhancements.
Additionally, the agenda will include a presentation of the new features coming with FuelPlus release 4.3 as well as the demonstration of the new and improved reporting features.
FuelPlus looks forward to welcoming all participants in Hanover.
